A Day of Care and Compassion at Sevashrama

The Health Club of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organised a health check-up program on 24th October 2025 at Sevashrama Old Age Home, Deralakatte. The resource person was Dr. Abhijna Rai, Asst. Professor and Naturopathy Consultant, Nitte Centre for Integrative Medicine & Research. The students actively interacted with the elderly residents, engaging them in recreational & interactive activities. They conducted health assessments, including monitoring blood glucose levels and blood pressure for 38 inmates of Sevashrama. The experience fostered a strong sense of care, compassion and community service among all participants, reflecting the core values that NUINS upholds. Ms. Sunanda B and Mr. Gourab, faculty members of NUINS accompanied the students.
