Aaraavam 2025 – Onam celebration at NUCSER

NUCSER celebrated Aaraavam 2025, an event that captures the essence of Onam, on 12th September 2025. Students dressed in traditional Onam attire, danced energetically to the lively beats of the chendamelam, marking the arrival of King Mahabali. The celebration began with lamp lighting followed by the inaugural mark with the traditional Uri Adi ritual. Following this, the students performed Thiruvathira, a graceful traditional dance, along with a variety of other engaging activities. Students from different classes showcased vibrant performances. Traditional Onam snacks like Palada Payasam, Unniyappam, chips and Pazham were served. The celebration culminated with a tug of war competition involving both students and faculty. The winning team was awarded the Vazh Kola (banana bunch) as a prize for their win.
