The Placement Cell of NUCSER organised a series of lectures on Opportunities of Education Abroad, Preparation for IELTS, Effective Resume Writing and Interview Skills on 25th & 26th April 2025.Ms. Jayamala Hegde and Mr. Dheeraj Antony from IDP Education, Mangalore were the resource persons for IELTS session. The speakers discussed scholarships, visa requirements, application deadlines and the significance of choosing the right course and university. The second half of the session focused on IELTS preparation. A comprehensive explanation of each module, elaborating on the exam format, scoring criteria and common challenges students typically face was also discussed.
Dr. Prakash K, Asst. General Manager, Solara Active Pharma Science Ltd. highlighted the key sections of an effective resume, including job description, educational qualifications, internships, technical skills, projects and extracurricular activities. He emphasized the significance of body language, communication and confidence during an interview. The importance of microbiology & biotechnology in API manufacturing was also discussed.
