Visit of Faculty from Kanazawa University, Japan

Mar 13, 2025

A delegation from Kanazawa University, Japan visited NUCSER on 13th March 2025, to engage in scientific discussions and explore potential research collaborations. The team shared their research interests, particularly in microbiology, with a specific focus on understanding bacterial outer membrane structures using advanced imaging technologies. Their research utilizes techniques such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) to study the architecture, composition & functional dynamics of bacterial membranes. These insights are crucial for understanding bacterial physiology, mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and host-pathogen interactions. The delegation also visited the laboratories of NUCSER which provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge on various microbiological & biotechnological techniques, fostering discussions on experimental methodologies, shared research interests and potential areas of collaboration. The visit helped strengthen academic ties between Kanazawa University and NUCSER, paving the way for future joint research projects and academic exchanges in the field of microbiology and molecular biology.
