Nitte Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) was honoured with the Institute for Dysphagia Award at the International Dysphagia Conclave 2025, held on 1st November 2025. The event was organised by SLP Quest at NIMHANS, Bangalore.

Ms. S. Chythanya, II BASLP, Mr Chandan R.K, II MSc Audiology, Mr Vishnu Bala, II MSc Audiology and Mr Jim Saroj Winston, Asst. Professor, NISH received the Best Poster Award in Audiology for their work titled “Postural stability under escalating sensory deprivation: A comparative study in individuals with and without kinetosis”. The poster was presented at the FOCUS 5, held on 6th & 7th November 2025 at Fr. Muller College of Speech and Hearing, Mangalore.

Ms. Sreena Perayil, II MSc SLP and Ms. Bennet Elsa Joseph, Asst. Professor received the Best Poster Award under the Speech and Language category, for their work titled “Immediate Vocal Outcome of Systemic and Combined Hydration in Female Speech-Language Pathology Trainees.” The poster was presented at the FOCUS 2025 Conference, held on 6th & 7th November 2025, at Fr. Muller College of Speech and Hearing, Mangalore.

Ms. Swati Goyal, Asst. Professor, Dr. Jayashree S. Bhat, Professor and Ms. Devya Madhulika, II MSc Audiology have been awarded the 1st Best Paper Award in Audiology for their paper titled “Cognitive and Auditory Processes in the Memory Domain among Noise-Exposed Young Adults with Normal Hearing.” The paper was presented at the DISHACON 2025 Conference, held on 15th & 16th November 2025 at the JLN Auditorium, AIIMS, Delhi.

Ms. Bennet Elsa Joseph, Asst. Professor, Dr. Jayashree S. Bhat, Professor and Ms. Sreena Perayil, II MSc SLP bagged the Best Paper Award for their paper titled “Exploring Singers’ Perceptions of Vocal Range Adaptation of Karaoke Tracks and AI-Based Pitch-Shifting Tools” under the category “Music Quality and Music-Based Evaluation.” The paper was presented at the FRSM 2025 Conference, held on 13th & 14th November 2025 at AIISH, Mysuru.
