A webinar on 'Good Research Practice during the Pandemic'

Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy organized a webinar on 'Good Research Practice during the Pandemic' in association with the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Manila, the Philippines on 16th July 2021 in its endeavor to empower research practices during the pandemic.
The opening remarks were by IQAC Coordinator Dr. Saumya Srivastava, following which Principal, Prof (Dr) Dhanesh Kumar K U welcomed the resource persons.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof (Dr) M Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor, who spoke of the significance of research and emphasized the role of physiotherapy and other medical sciences in research and collaborative activities. He also spoke of the importance of innovative ideas in developing research and imparting quality education.
The Resource Person for the webinar, Dr Lyle Patrick Tangcuangco, Faculty, College of Rehabilitation Science, UST, Manila, Philippines, conducted a session on best research practices, authorship criteria, ethics in research, publication of clinical studies, principles of conducting biomedical and health research and social values. He also touched upon ethics in research in the Indian context.
The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Coordinator, Ms. Shilna Rani P. A total of 120 delegates participated in the webinar.
