Fresher’s Day

Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy (NIPT) hosted Fresher’s Day for the new batch of 2025-26, along with the inauguration of the Students’ Council on 26th August 2025. The program began with an invocation by Ms. Gana Pilinja, followed by the welcome address delivered by Prof. (Dr) Dhanesh Kumar K U, Principal, NIPT.

Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr) Vikram Shetty, HoD, Orthopaedics, KS Hegde Medical Academy, spoke on the growing importance of physiotherapy in today’s world. Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Rai, Dean, KSHEMA, lauded the discipline and dedication of the physiotherapy students on campus.

The inauguration of the Students’ Council was then conducted. Council members received their badges from the dignitaries and took the oath administered by Ms. Nishitha Elsy Fernandes, Faculty Advisor-Students’ Council, who also delivered the Vote of Thanks.

The formal session was followed by a vibrant cultural program. The event was compered by Ms. Sameena Manna.
