Hands-on workshop on “Innovation and the Startup Ecosystem in Physiotherapy”

Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, in association with the Institution Innovation Council, organized a hands-on workshop on “Innovation and the Startup Ecosystem in Physiotherapy” for final year postgraduates on 9th August 2025. Mr. Rahul Tripathy, Director & CDMO of Ashwa Wearable Technologies was the resource person. Prof. (Dr) Purusotham Chippala welcomed the delegates and Mr. Nityal Kumar, Convenor of the program, delivered the vote of thanks. The event started with an introduction to innovation in Physiotherapy and later progressed to hands-on session in identifying the problem and creating a proof of concept. The event culminated with an active Q&A session. The workshop effectively highlighted how innovation can reshape physiotherapy practice and open entrepreneurial opportunities. It provided practical insights into navigating the startup ecosystem and turning ideas into impactful healthcare solutions.

A total of 33 delegates participated in the workshop.
