PROGRAM OUTCOMES At the end of the program, graduates will be able to... PO1: Demonstrate the ability to
evaluate, plan, administer anaesthesia and provide post-operative care
including the pain relief and become highly competent anaesthesiologist with
broad range of skills which will enable to practice anaesthesiology
independently. PO2: Demonstrate the knowledge to
carry out basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ACLS) and train
medical and paramedical staff in BLS and ACLS. PO3: Demonstrate the ability to
manage critically patients in intensive care unit (ICU). PO4: Demonstrate the knowledge of
pain management in patients with acute and chronic pain. PO5: Demonstrate
knowledge of normal and abnormal human structure, function from a molecular,
cellular, biologic, clinical, behavioural and social perspective applied to
anaesthesia. PO6: Demonstrate
the basic methodology of medical education and develop competence in teaching
medical/paramedical students. PO7: Develop
attitude that leads to appropriate communication with colleagues, patients and
their relatives and to function in a group in operating room/intensive care
unit, and develop the ability to function as a leader in operating room. PO8: Demonstrate
the ability of record keeping, anaesthesia audit, medico-legal aspects in
anaesthesia. PO9: Demonstrate the knowledge of
research methodology and clinical trial. PO10: Demonstrate the knowledge to
critically review and acquire relevant knowledge from the journals, learning
advances in anaesthesiology and its applied aspect in the practice of
