IEEE Student branch of NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte organized an invited talk on the topic "India's Quest to Become Developed Nation: Technological Opportunities and Challenges" By Dr. Chandrakantha Kumar, Senior Scientist/Engineer-G, ISRO, Bengaluru and Vice Chair (Technical Activities), IEEEE Bangalore Section on November 24, 2023, in association with the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. In his talk Dr. Kumar explained how technology can intervene in different sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and services sectors. He illustrated how technology can play a key role in making India a  developed nation. He explained various topics covered under space technology and how one can contribute to space technology with his/her expertise. Dr. Vasudeva, student branch counselor welcomed  the gathering and Dr. Kavitha M, faculty member of ECE department introduced the speaker to the audience. More than 100 students from third year ECE and professional members of IEEE from NMAMIT participated in the talk.
