STUDENT GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL – SIMPLE PROCEDURE
If you have a grievance:1. Tell us what happened.
Submit the Online Student Grievance Form online or approach the Institutional Grievance Review Panel.
2. You do not need to know who should handle it.
The University will identify the appropriate authority and route the matter accordingly.
3. We will first try to resolve it simply.
If the issue can be addressed through clarification, correction or administrative action, it will be dealt with at the appropriate level.
4. Serious matters will be escalated.
Matters requiring formal examination may be referred to the Campus Grievance Committee or directly to the University SGRC.
5. You will be heard.
Formal proceedings will follow the principles of natural justice.
6. If you are not satisfied with the University SGRC decision,
you may appeal to the Ombudsperson within 15 days of receiving the decision.
7. Raising a genuine grievance should not put you at a disadvantage.
Retaliation or victimisation for raising a grievance in good faith is not permitted.
